CECL at Green Lake WI

For those of you who don't know, I am participating in a pastoral leadership program for the next two years. It's call the "Center for Congregational Leadership." It just happens to be at one of my favorite places in the world. It's the Green Lake Conference Center.

Here is the point of today's blog. I need your help loyal blog readers!

I have a problem with my integrity. It's not one of those big moral failures or anything like that. It's simple. It's my thought life. More specifically my negative thought life.

My name is Seth Alexander and I have a problem with negative thoughts!

Here is how that is playing out in my life:

Thoughts lead to attitudes,
attitudes lead to actions,
actions lead to habits,
habits lead to Heart.

See the problem? My negative thoughts lead to a negative heart. I need your help.
You can't help with my thoughts but you can help with my attitudes and actions.

I need you to call me out when I display a negative attitude or speak in a negative way. I want you to call me out on the spot. In front of everyone. Right there when it happens.

Please help me with this process! I have mush to share with you about this week and am excited to share with you what I have learned and what I can apply to ministry.
